Perception is reality, or is it? Let's learn about the hidden code behind how you see the world so that we can change our perception, which will in turn change our life. So, you know, the other day I was talking to someone about a business idea, a concept, and I noticed right off that the way they were talking about their understanding of how the idea would unfold and how the business would manifest, they had a specific perception based on their life's experiences, based on their own objectives and goals, based on their belief system. I was able to point that out so quickly because I realized, like, wow, we really do perceive things so much differently because I was seeing something totally different, right? Two people can experience the exact same event and walk away feeling completely different with completely different realities. Matter of fact, if you have kids, each one of your kids sees you as a totally different parent, they perceive you a different way, they understand you a different way, they know a different version of you because each individual kid is getting individual treatment. And again, you even treat your kids a way, you you perceive them in a different way than they even perceive themselves. So you're you're let's say you have two kids, they can perceive themselves differently than each other, but when you perceive your kids, you're perceiving them differently even from their own perspective. Perception is something that shapes collectively, shapes all of reality. And uh so this is pretty crazy because we see now that so much of what we are experiencing and so much of what we're believing, a lot of it's based on our perceptions. Perceptions are so huge, and when you can bring awareness to the perception uh that you have in a particular situation, or the perception that someone else may have, then you can begin to really unlock the codes of this matrix because then you'll understand better. And understanding brings uh abundance, it brings new mindsets, it brings collaboration, it brings opportunities. A lot of the times we can miss out on so many things simply because we didn't understand the perceptions that were actually involved. You know, you have to think like, ask yourself, what if your life isn't controlled by what happens to you? But what if it's controlled by how you actually interpret it? So the way that we're interpreting all the signaling, the subconscious programming, the belief systems that were installed in us, the new understandings and beliefs that we built for ourselves, uh situations that we've gone through in the past that have shaped our future, all of these things, all of these things come together to give us this perception of reality. And perception, it's like a filter between reality and how we actually experience the reality. So there's this filter in there. So what I want to do today is I want to break down how perception shapes your success and how it shapes your relationships, how it shapes your understanding of money, and how it even shapes your mental health. It's it's something that's so heavily involved, it's intrinsically involved in everything that we do, and yet a lot of the times we take it for granted, or we aren't even aware that it's happening, that it's working. Sometimes it's working in our favor, and sometimes it's working out of our favor. Perception is there as a part of a safety mechanism. Your mind wants to keep the body safe, wants to keep you safe, right? But what is it actually? Perception is its interpretation of sensory input as you collect data from touching, seeing, smelling, tasting, hearing, living, your nervous system interacting with the world and the universe. And that needs to be decoded in some way. So your brain is not showing your reality, it's showing you a filtered version. You're getting a filtered version based on the perceptions. You're not getting 100% of all the data you collected. Your mind is summarizing everything based on perceptions. You're going to be influenced by past experiences, um, beliefs, trauma, culture, expectations. So many things come in to create these filters that we call perception. So you don't see the world as it is, you see the world as you are. Let's say that again. You don't see the world as it is, you see the world as you are. And this is an important understanding because once you recognize that you're only seeing the world as you are, when you're interacting with someone else that might have opposing understandings or opposing perceptions, you will then be able to show some a certain level of empathy and understanding because they are also seeing the world as they are. So there's nothing to get truthfully offended by in most cases, it's just that person's perception filter operating within them. And so you might be looking both at the same situation or the same thing, but they're perceiving it totally differently. This happens a lot in relationships, which can trigger arguments, right, fights, whatever you want to call them, when the couple is talking about one thing, but each of them have a different version of the event, a different version of the facts, and also a different version of how that thing or that situation affected them emotionally, physically, spiritually, whatever. And so usually what happens is when one side doesn't want to understand the other side's perspective, this creates an ongoing battle, right? So let's talk about the science behind perception. If you want to look at neuroscience, right, then that's something that I studied. And we learned there that the brain filters millions of bits of data per second. We have a quantum computer sitting on our shoulders, and for the most case, we just kind of take it for granted. We don't even really utilize it. Okay, only a tiny fraction of that data reaches conscious awareness. So all this information is coming streaming in nonstop, and we're perceiving a sliver of that data, just a sliver, it's been condensed into a sliver so that we can continue on through our day. The particular activating system acts as a filter and it shows you what you believe is the most important, the most important. Everything else is kind of there, but it's kind of stored in this gray area. If you really want to tap into it through hypnosis or hypnotherapy and things like that, you can get the data back, but it's never it never leaves. But it's just not considered to be of utmost importance to shape your perception of reality for the next moment that you're living in. So if you buy a new car, all of a sudden, what happens? You begin to see that car everywhere. You begin to see if it's a red car, you begin to see red cars all over the place. What happened? Did people just start buying more red cars? No, your perception has been altered now, and you begin to see that vehicle make model, and you also begin to see that same color. If you focus on problems, then guess what happens? More problems will manifest, more problems will appear. Why is that? Well, because you're now acquiescing to a particular vibration and you're resonating that with the universe, and so things that you didn't even know were a problem, issues that you didn't even realize were coming up or getting ready to happen, they begin to brew and manifest. Okay. Um, if you focus on opportunities, right? You focus on possibilities and opportunities, and possibilities and opportunities will appear. Now you shift it to a high vibration, you're looking for opportunities, you're looking for possibilities, you're looking for collaboration, you're looking for a connection to help you get to your end goal. And because you're on that vibration, that resonates with the universe, and those things begin to come at you. You begin to bring those in, you attract them. Your brain is literally deleting, distorting, and generalizing reality to match your particular beliefs. That's how it's working. So, what does that mean? It means that we have to understand mindset. The mindset is so important because the mindset is going to dictate that filter, it's going to dictate what gets in, what doesn't get in. It's going to dictate how we process all the data, how we perceive it, and how we act on it. So we have to understand failure versus feedback. And we got to get out of this victim versus creator mentality, right? This victimhood mentality will hold you back. The creator mentality will build you up. So the victimhood mentality, it wants to fight against the creator mentality, it wants to rip and steal all the creativity and the imagination that you have because it wants you in that lower vibration, once you're stuck in fight and flight, and once you um ruminating on things that have already happened in the past and some things that might have already been done, or even certain things that you might not be able to change in the moment. And that puts you in a what they call a safe space or a box, a box of blame where you can blame everything on the outside of you. And now your perception becomes your victim. If you move into the creator mentality and you get break through the wall of the victim mindset, all of a sudden you begin to realize how you can create different realities, different perceptions, you can create um different future outcomes just by having conscious thoughts and acting on them. You realize and and understand that you have become the co-creator of your own reality. And when it comes to money, we know that some people they see money as a struggle because they've always been in a lack mindset. So their mind automatically kicks into struggle mode. Anytime you bring up money, they feel nervous, they feel anxious, they get angry, they get frustrated, they get they be they become afraid because they've had such a negative relationship with money their entire life that once something, someone or something brings up money, there's an instantaneous negative vibrational reaction that pops up. Where others can see money as an absolute tool. So, yes, I've been extremely poor. Yes, I've been in struggling situations, yes, I've even been homeless. But guess what? I never once allowed those situations to dictate my future outcome. I just gained more financial literacy and I began to see money as a tool. I began to see dollars as employees and how I can put those dollars to work for me. I began to understand how I can change my current situation in this economic matrix through different mindsets of how money actually works, through collaboration, through an abundance mindset, releasing that scarcity mindset and really understanding that my perception of money is why I'm at the level that I'm at with money. How do I change it? How I flipped that. It took effort, energy, and it took my willingness to research and learn how economics actually works. And then once I understood it, my perception of money completely changed, and I began to manifest abundance to a point where I only expect abundance now. I only expect it. When you're looking into relationships, we can see that you know there's a huge um role that perceptions play there. Perceptions will determine the emotional reaction. Perceptions will, you know, uh allow you to make comments or influence you to make certain comments, which can be disrespectful or sometimes they could be just misunderstood based on the other person's perceptions of what you said or how you're acting, it could trigger love or it could trigger hate, anger, right? So we see that it plays a role there. The event doesn't control your life, the meaning you assign it does. So we have to understand that every single event that's happening and unfolding before us, how do we assign meaning to it? Whether it's money, whether it's relationships, whether it's opportunities, whatever it is, how are we assigning the meaning to that? Are we bringing awareness to our own perceptions and how even our perceptions of that reality might be skewed, might need might need more empathy, might need more understanding, might need more patience, right? Or maybe I need to draw better boundaries to prevent those situations from happening again to me. There's so many ways to view it, but this is the great part about our minds. We can we can actually start having our own thought experiments, our own social experiments, and we can begin to perfect our understanding of ourselves and reality as a whole. You know, the key is we want to bring awareness. That is the biggest thing because without that, we're just like NPCs uh in a video game with non-player characters just stumbling through the matrix. We want to catch our automatic interpretations of situations, and we want to ask: is this a fact or is this a story that I'm creating? You know, am I fabricating something out of this perception that might not even be real or exist? We just stop it, we start asking ourselves these questions, and all of a sudden, boom, we start now really interacting with our conscious and subconscious mind to get a better understanding of what's going on and who we truly are. You can ask yourself, you know, like I said, is this a fact or is this my story? Just try that, okay? We have to learn how to reframe, right? So, why is this happening to me? Is what a lot of people say. Why is this happening? Why, man, why is this happening again? I can't believe this. Well, and that happened to me recently.
